windows7-rc1-intro3If you were wondering which would arrive first, Saw VI or Windows 7, you’ll be glad to know that Microsoft will release its new operating system on October 22, 2009, a day before the slasher flick hits theaters. Unlike the Saw series, which jumped the shark years ago, the Windows series is poised for a long-anticipated reboot. We’ve been evaluating different version of Windows 7 for months now, starting with the pre-beta we got our hands-on back in October. And, since the public beta was released in January, it’s been clear that the new OS was going to be a lot faster and easier-to-use than Vista. We had gotten word in recent weeks that Microsoft was targeting a fall release, but only today has the company named an official release date. Knowing that the Windows 7  is only a few months away, will you wait before purchasing your next PC?
