Windows 7 to Launch October 22
If you were wondering which would arrive first, Saw VI or Windows 7, you’ll be glad to know that Microsoft will release its new operating system on October 22, 2009, a day before the slasher flick hits theaters. Unlike the Saw series, which jumped the shark years ago, the Windows series is poised for a long-anticipated reboot. We’ve been evaluating different version of Windows 7 for months now, starting with the pre-beta we got our hands-on back in October. And, since the public beta was released in January, it’s been clear that the new OS was going to be a lot faster and easier-to-use than Vista. We had gotten word in recent weeks that Microsoft was targeting a fall release, but only today has the company named an official release date. Knowing that the Windows 7 is only a few months away, will you wait before purchasing your next PC?
