Gadget - now that's a loose term. Considering I am currently carrying a Blackberry Storm, iPhone 3G and an iTouch! (yes I know, why?) - I think my first real gadget was a motorized Lego Technik kit. If it has to be portable, then some Casio digital watch that had a space invaders style game embedded (the buttons didn't last a month!). not ot mention the slew of Sony Walkman products that I went through before catching the Apple bug!

My first cellphone was a late 90s Ericsson. I can't remember the model number but it was a heavy black one with the flip out piece by the mouth and an extendable antenna.

My first laptop was a HP Omnibook 300 -- it was awesome and I still have it.
I also got a small Compaq handheld that ran Windows CE, had apps on ROM and was more like a PDA.
My first MP3 player was a Creative Arts NomadII MG -- very sleek for its day.
