What People Will Do For A Netbook

I’ve seen people produce some really amazing images and video for the web for contests that offer nothing more than kudos from a web community or the chance to get 3 seconds of fame on The Colbert Report. Up the stakes and you don’t necessarily get better quality, but the entrants in Acer’s Want One? video contest are certainly creative and not afraid to make fools of themselves for a free Aspire One (and other cool tech).
Though the video below did not win first prize, many of us here at LAPTOP are enchanted with it.
Joanna was particularly moved and, since she isn’t in the office today, we suspect that she’s gone off in search of this man. Godspeed, Joanna!

Hey thanks guys. The contest was all about youtube views/comments/ratings and such, not really about quality. Of course, now that the contest is over I have received thousands of views from all over the world! To be honest, I don’t really care about the prize, its the fact that people like it so much that makes me happy! (cue cheesy “awe” audience noises)
