Wanted: High-Tech Families
December 2nd, 2008 by Dana Wollman
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at LAPTOP. When I’m not testing and filming shiny gadgets, I often write about the way technology changes our everyday lives. This time, I need your help. I’m writing about about how families use technology (e.g. Facebook, texting, IM, cell phones, e-mail) to stay close and connected– even if they live under the same roof.
There are scads of experts who know a thing or two about that, but I’m still searching for the iconic high-tech family. If you’re the kind of family who Facebook friends each other, and uses video calls to connect with grandparents, I want to talk to you (it wouldn’t hurt if you lived in New York City either). If that describes you and you’re not interview-shy e-mail me at dwollman at laptopmag dot com.
(Oh, and if you don’t look like the family at right, that’s okay, too.)
