Im thinking about getting this phone.
It looks like it would withstand what I want in a phone, for a small price, and capibilities that suit me.

The comments are really even; 50/50 like it/dislike it

Im going to try it out and see how it feels!

This phone is really a sorry offering. I've had 'dozens' of phones through the years, and this is one of hte worst. Touch mechanism is horrible - my three year old has toys with better touch screens. Everything about the phone is slow, Slow, SLOW. Once you've made a phone call you have to push all kinds of buttons to get a keyboard up so that you can do voicemail commands in the middle of a call. The side button which is the default button for the camera is in the wrong damn spot. No matter what you chage the button to command, it gets in the way. Using your finger (instead of the stylus) on the touch screen is very frustrating. No way you can use your fingers on the qwerty. Battery life sucks. And the color white is so damn girly I'm not sure why a man would want to own it. Do not buy this phone - it is crap.

Had this phone for about 2 weeks now and played with it maybe 5 hours total. This is my first smartphone and first WM device or any mobile device for that matter and it is very easy to use. I have it about figured out except I want wifi without paying the verizon gods for it. Free Wifi is our god given right aint it? Anyone know how to connect to wifi without a computer? I am thinking a USB bluetootth to wifi dongle(?) with a female to male adaptor for the HTC usb cord?

The three dimensional cube interface is really cool. I can see limitless possibilities with making the three dimensional cube into a tetrahendron or whatever where you can book around the phone apps, contacts etc by flipping into other dimensions of the "cube".

I AGFREE WITH BRENDA. I bought one a week ago and it is super cool. "Sixstring " Ur phone runs slow cause you don't close the appliocations BY USING THE "X" on the right hand corner to EXITE U use your end button the LAZY way and it does not close the program. so when you open other applications it will run slow.

I have a Motorola Q and it still rocks but My VX6900 is small Better then an IPHONE. I phones run in dial up and VX6900 it runs in Highspeed not Dial-up. and the touch screens are accrate. its small And Damn its like a chick magnet. lol. j/k. but I will Recommened it 100%

I strongly disagree. I actually downloaded my own skins online for this phone, got rid of the pre-loaded programs, and my phone runs perfectly fine. Problem in sunlight? Adjust your settings. Can't use the QWERTY keyboard? Use the transcriber. The color? Order a custom case online for it. All you have to do is take out a few screws and, fiddle with it, and you are set.

Overall, I think this is an incredible phone. My processor is fast, the Memory is durable (I put it up to 80% usage and was fine), and it is a sleek and sexy device. I, personally, prefer it over the iPhone or any other mobile cellular device with Windows Mobile. I used to own two different Treos (700w + 700z), a Moto Q9m, and a Blackberry Pearl. So far, my HTC has dominated amongst all these smartphones.

Once you get into your phone, you will learn you can change your color schemes, backgrounds, start menus, and even whipe the Windows Mobile OS if you really want to.

This is a great phone, great price, and certainly deserves more praise than what sixstrings said about it.

And yes, Jay Taylor, it outdoes the LG Voyager by a longshot. =]

Enjoy, and go out and try the phone for 30 Days. Don't like it? Return it within 30 days. I suggest you do the same, sixstrings, if you hate it that much.

Hi bought this phone this week...would like an iPhone but my company is not interested in using AT&T as a service provider. Like any new technology acquisition, it takes some time to get used to (have used many phones - most recently a Treo). There are a few things that I don't like about this phone initially:
- only available in white...very unmasculine...or quite 'girly' as I am told
- touch screen is not good in sunlight - hard to make a call when outside because I can't navigate the phone
- touch mechanics are not very good. If you don't slide your finger 'just right' across the screen (when scrolling through pictures, for example)
- no true qwerty like on XV6800 - horrible for texting or email as a result
- limited background themes (4 only)
- clunky to use functions when on phone (for instance, when you're talking on the phone and trying to look up a number; or get your phone off bluetooth because of a poor connection).
-SLOW processor when using Windows

You're probably thinking, "Is there anything special about this phone?" Perhaps the most impressive aspect is size and feel. It's a pretty little package. Other than that, there is nothing functionally exceptional about this phone.

Overall, these folks tried to do everything in a phone and end the end did it all poorly. I'm not particularly happy with this phone.
