Voodoo Envy 133 Final Production Unit Arrives
October 3rd, 2008 by Joanna Stern
A few months back we got some exclusive time with the Voodoo Envy 133, but the stylish ultraportable was a pre-production unit and didn’t come with all the official goodies. Today a final production version of the Envy 133 arrived at our offices and we jumped head first into getting our hands covered in Envy.
For over $2,000, Voodoo sure does throw in some innovative features and even extra peripherals. Our unit (we are confirming the price of the configuration) came with a E-SATA powered optical drive, a HDMI to VGA adapter and a unique power brick that doubles as a wireless access point. Make sure to check out the video of the Voodoo Power adapter here.
But the cool stuff isn’t only in the box. The final unit contains some seriously drool-worthy features like a multi-touch/gesture touchpad and light sensors that can sense where your hands are on the laptop. Our full review will be coming within the next few days, but for those that can’t wait, we started testing those neat features out and captured it all in the video below.
