Verizon Announces Samsung Trance: Glowsticks Not Included
April 23rd, 2009 by Todd Haselton
Verizon Wireless announced the Samsung Trance this morning, a $49.99 music phone (with a 2-year agreement) that features Bang & Olufsen’s ICEpower amp technology. That means you should get some pretty good audio out of these puppies.
While the Trance supports Rhapsody sync for loading all the “oomph oomph” bass thumping techno you want, it’s not a 3G device so you cannot download music over the air. That said, we’d recommend checking out the LG Chocolate 3, which will set you back just a few bucks more. That 3G phone will let you download tracks over the air and play them back over your headphones through its 3.5mm headphone jack.
Other basic features include a microSD slot for up to 16GB of added storage, and a 1.3MP camera. The Trance will be available in Black and Red with Black accents.
