Apple MacBook Air Refreshed: Faster, Stronger, Cheaper
Jun 11, 2012 01:43 PM EDT by Chao Li, Web Producer/Writer Apple has unveiled the new MacBook Air line at today’s WWDC event. For those who have been holding their breath about an updated machine, Apple does not disappoint. The MacBook Air is now packed with a third-generation Intel processor (Ivy Bridge), up to 8GB of 1600MHz memory, up to 512 GB of flash storage, USB 3.0 ports, HD built-in camera, and an integrated HD graphics up to 60 percent faster than the current generation.
Apple went one more step in making this slightly more enticing — by lowering the price $100 on the 13-inch models, making the starting price $1099 instead of $1199, and the higher end 13-inch MacBook Air is $1499.
