So you just ordered a pizza for you and this girl you met in chemistry class, and she’s on her way. But you smell man, like real bad, except you’re not sure when the pizza guy is coming and if you miss the food, you’re going to blow the date. Domino’s today announced its Pizza Tracker service. Once you place your order, you can follow its status online so that you have a general idea of when the delivery dude is going to show up. There are five steps: Order Placed, Prep, Bake, Box, and Delivery, and to track, you just have to enter your phone number. Each step lights up a color as the pizza makes its way from a hot oven to your house. 3,200 of the 8,510 U.S. Domino’s locations are participating in the service, and the cheesy and saucy pizza maker claims each order will be delivered within 40-seconds of the quoted arrival time. Any excuse to give a lower tip works for me. I kid, I kid. Maybe we’ll do a hands-on for dinner, if they can get up a 5-story walk-up while carrying a few hot pizzas and some cinna-sticks in forty seconds, I’ll be impressed.
