Touch the Sprint Touch Pro on October 26th
October 24th, 2008 by Todd Haselton
Sprint already launched the Touch Pro on September 10th, but today, it’s reannouncing that the product will, after a short delay, officially, finally, actually be available on October 26th. $299 is a bit higher than we’d be willing to shell out for a Windows Mobile phone with a slide-out keyboard that’s AT&T Tilt-esque, especially considering the $199 G1 on T-mobile, the Apple product over in AT&T’s manger, and the number of other Windows Mobile 6.1 devices you can get for over $200 less.
The Touch Pro is, at its heart, the Touch Diamond, a beautiful device with a few faults. Instead of being limited to just 4GB of internal storage, as the Diamond is, the Touch Pro supports up to a 16GB microSDHC card. It also has a single LED flash for the same 3.2MP camera, and the aforementioned slide-out full QWERTY keypad.
Check out our hands on with the HTC Touch Pro to get a closer inspection. Is it worth the extra $40? That’s for you to decide on October 26th.
