Today, Toshiba announced two new additions to its notebook family, which are designed to give users a nice array of features for an even nicer price: The Toshiba Satellite A200 and L350 series. The Toshiba Satellite A200 series offers a 15.4-inch TruBrite display, DVD SuperMulti (with Labelflash), Windows Vista Home Premium, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi at a starting price of $599. Based on the model, you can get a chunky 3GB of RAM, a webcam, a choice of dual-core processors, and up to 250GB of storage space. The Toshiba Satellite L350 series brings the spaciousness of a big screen notebook to buyers on a budget. Starting at $749, the system packs a 17.1-inch TruBrite display, 2.0-GHz AMD Turion 64 X dual-core processor, ATI Radeon X1250 discrete graphics, DVD SuperMulti drive (wih Labelflash), 2GB of RAM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, webcam, and 200GB of hard drive capacity. In addition, Toshiba unveiled the redesigned Satellite U400, M300, A300, and P300 series, which sports the company’s new Fusion Finish Horizon (gray pinstripes set upon a black base). The new machines also feature touch-sensitive multimedia keys, Dolby Sound Room audio, HDMI ports on systems with discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470 or HD3650 graphics, and webcams with facial recognition software.
