Toshiba Announces New Satellite Pros: L300, L300D, M300, U400, L350

l300_l300d.jpgToday, Toshiba announced the availability of five additions to its business-centric Satellite Pro line that are designed to offer mobile professionals and students a variety of display sizes and configurations to fit their computing needs. All five models (totalling 9 different configurations) feature DVD SuperMulti drives, widescreen TruBrite displays, ExpressCard slots, Windows Vista or XP operating systems, and embedded support for Computrace notebook recovery and protection system. Read on for breakdowns of the new systems.

Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 and L300D
Starting at $699, these 15.4-inch notebooks both offer 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, as well as integrated webcams and microphones. They differ, however, by what runs under the hood: The L300 rocks Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor, while the L300D goes the AMD dual-core route.

Toshiba Satellite Pro M300
This streamlined, 14.1-inch model (starting at $999) features a 1.3-megapixel webcam (with built-in mic) and 802.11a/g/n wireless on select systems.

Toshiba Satellite Pro U400
At a starting price of $1,049, the U400 line sports a 1.3-MP camera and microphone, a 13.3-inch display, a fingerprint reader for enhanced security, a 3D accelerometer hard drive protection system, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1.

Toshiba Satellite Pro L350
The L350 features a spacious 17-inch display, full-size keyboard with a 10-key numerical pad, 802.11a/g/n Wi-Fi, a 160GB hard drive, and an integrated webcam and mic, starting at $1,099.

The new Satellite Pro notebooks are available for purchase immediately.
