Shopping for a Father’s Day gift can be tough. You know he doesn’t want a tie, but a great new smart phone can keep him organized and connected with friends and family. Plus, with built-in GPS, you might be able to keep him from getting lost. We’ve picked out the best handsets from each carrier because, well, your dad deserves the best.

iPhone 3GS
He’s been drooling over it, so earn some serious brownie points and get him one. It’s a great smart phone that can handle e-mail, has an awesome mobile browser, and has access to more than 150,000 applications in the iTunes App Store. He may be a workaholic, but he still deserves a little fun from time to time, and there’s no doubt to be an app for just about everything he considers fun. There are plenty of games, productivity apps, and other utilities that will make life a little easier.

HTC Droid Incredible
The HTC Droid Incredible is the best smart phone you can get from Verizon Wireless right now. We’d even say that it’s the best Android handset on the market. It has a very sleek and dark design with a solid build quality that your dad can appreciate. Running the latest version of Android, your dad will have access to such features as Google Earth, Google Maps Navigation, and other rich applications that will help him stay connected. The Incredible also has an 8-MP camera that takes gorgeous photos and pretty good video, too.

myTouch 3G Slide
T-Mobile updated its myTouch 3G with a version that comes equipped with a roomy and tactile QWERTY keyboard–and it’s quite an upgrade. The myTouch 3G Slide is meant to keep friends and families connected, which is evident in the Faves screen that can hold up to 20 of his favorite contacts. It runs the latest version of Android so Dad can get access to all the apps and features in Android Market. One of the coolest features; the Genius button that replaces the standard Android search with voice-powered search, so the next time he needs to search for the nearest gas station he can just say find a gas station, and it will.

Sprint HTC Evo 4G
Thanks to the capable Android OS and a ton of special features, the HTC Evo 4G touchscreen phone is great for Renaissance Dads.  Say, for instance, he loves to video-call family and friends with Skype. The Evo packs a front-facing 1.3MP camera that – when used with  video conferencing software called Qik – will let him use the device as a two-way video phone. Does Pop love home movies? On the back is an 8MP camera that  can record 720p HD video, great for replays on the arresting 4.3-inch display. He can also port video to the web over the  speediest data connection available on any smart phone, 4G (not available in all markets). Is the breadwinner still working long hours? He’ll definitely enjoy using the Evo as a Wi-Fi router that can link 8 devices to the internet over 3G or dead-fast 4G data networks. Plus standard Android fixings like over-the-air music downloads from Amazon MP3 and access to the 40,000-strong Android Market will not only make his Father’s Day, but all his later ones too.
