Microsoft has made some improvements to the touch screen keyboard in Windows 8, such as a revamped auto predict feature. When typing on screen, suggestions automatically appear directly under where the user is typing. Rather than selecting a suggestion by tapping it, users can swipe along the space bar to navigate between suggestions and hit space bar to make a decision.
This means your fingers don’t have to leave the keyboard to select words. Additionally, users can now swipe up on the top row of letter keys to access number keys, rather than having to switch the on-screen keyboard between alphabetical and numerical modes.
