Hi,
I recieved a link in my feeds to this article. I was interested in seeing the eight phones. A Sony laptop commercial came up when your page opened. That’s acceptable, I realize everything’s not free. But when it reappeared each time I selected the next phone, I felt increasingly angry and frustrated. I didn’t look at the last five phones. I won’t return. All the ad did was make me feel like boycotting Sony.
Bye.

I agree with the previous poster. I have pop-up blocker turned on for a reason. What ever new-fangled java plug-in still allows you to put pop-ups on my screen just adds frustration to the website visit. What makes you people think I want your pop-up cr@p after having turned it off. Not only that I had another pop-up after closing the laptop splash screen BOTH TIMES!! I really don’t care much about the other 8 phones I didn’t get to see, I guess I’ll just have to suffer in the glorious wait for my, very late, att iPhone 4s instead of looking at these alternatives.

It is not fair to critisize ads, every one needs to make money. With Sony ad you also have option to skip the ad. Once skipped ad does not appear again.

My misgivings about anything Apple is the abject devout Apple culties and their evangelical approach. It may even be a better product, may be something I want, but since I can never trust any info about the iPhone, it’s hard for a buyer to judge. I’m going to keep looking, and if I find objective evidence that iPhone really is all that and lunch (which the ever-hyped Mac computer is definitely NOT) I may get one. Until then, I’ll wait until I know what I’m buying.

All you have to do is opt out of the ads. It may not stop all of them but a majority of them.

I don’t see any ads, I’m running firefox with adblock plus (free app) and I almost never see any ads.
Cheers!

Having owned a an IPOD touch but hating apple I bought a Samsung Android phone. BIG MISTAKE, it vibrates as apps are about to close themselves, IT HAS NO VISUAL VOICE Mail and mediocre battery. Sure it’s far more customizable than an IOS device but who cares.
I am just praying for an early upgrade offer so I can switch to APPLE>

I agree with GrandEee! I can not make sense of any reviews. My husband has the iphone and loves it. He got me the 4s for Christmas… I do not see what all the hype is about, I have had it freeze up 3 different occassions and even had to do a factory reset twice. AND… I am disappointed in the fact that Apple and Adobe have not been able to work out some kind of deal allowing Apple permissions. I LIKE Adobe.
This is coming from someone who held onto a Samsung ~SOLSTICE for two years after I was due for an upgrade because I wanted to know what I was getting before I upgraded. Now, I want to take the Iphone back and get another BUT…. my second choice being the Galaxy S II, I am reserved about switching because of the negative reviews I have read about IT. I havent heard very much about the Windows 7 phone, to add. Does that mean there is no comparison ~in a good way or a bad?
Thinking I should just resolve myself to the fact that no matter wat I get…. I am NOT going to be happy.

I’m viewing this from my phone so I didn’t get any ad popup but I wouldn’t run off crying like some of these babies.. Ugh the world is filled with weak people nowadays. That being said, the iphone is great if you don’t mind the limitations apple sets on you. Personally, when I pay 600$ for a phone, I should be able to do whatever the hell I want with it and set it up in a way I find quick to use. Everything in Android is customizable. You don’t like the keyboard? Get a new one. Don’t like the ui? Get a new one. You can play more video and sound files without worrying about conversion. My phone is more like a mini laptop than just a phone and for that Android, I salute you. And yes, I used an iphone for a while, and for what you pay for these phones, I’d rather not have apple sitting on my shoulder telling me what my phone is for. I’ll use it the way I see fit.

I’ve had BlackBerry’s for several years and I recently switched to a Motorola Android Bionic and I returned it a week later. I guess the biggest thing is that it depends on what you’re used to in a phone. I love the fact that I can program my BB to turn on and off automatically. I also have an app that automatically changes the profile so I don’t have my phone ringing loudly in the middle of church. My biggest problem with the Android was that after a few days, I couldn’t use the voice commands in my car. I would tell it to “call home” and it found every entry in my phone that had the word “home” EXCEPT my actual home number. I keep looking at reviews of the Androids and Iphones and everyone has a different opinion. It seems that you either love them or hate them. There should be a way to actually see what the capabilities of the phones are BEFORE you purchase so you don’t get “stuck” with something that you’re not satisfied with. Most companies have “non-working” displays and you have to purchase (with a “restocking fee”) and bring it back within a very short period of time if you’re not happy. Not very “customer friendly” if you ask me.

Ok so on a lot of pages on this website, it quotes ” iPhone 4s beats android, as long as you can deal with 3G”, but I
Updated my iPhone 4s and when I updated it, it gave me 4G. So that is definitely something they need to update on this website because that is major plus. I’ve also posted pictures on Facebook and instagram That I took with my phone, and people have said on those websites that the pictures look professional. Siri is just amazing! It can help your on many ways but I have a lot of fun just talking to it because apple got very creative and siri will respond to just about any question you ask, whether it’s goofy or not. Another wonderful thing about the iPhone is how easy it is set up! Every thing is just right there and the app store is loaded! Apple really put a lot into this phone and it’s a great product And I highly recommend it!!
