We were superexcited to get our hands on the latest installment in Samsung’s Galaxy S series this week. The S4 definitely lived up to our expectations, providing unique software and cool gesture support. But we got to play with a lot of other gadgets and apps too, like a Wi-Fi accessory that lets you beam content from your mobile device to your TV, an extremely bright e-reader and BlackBerry’s newest smartphone. A lot of these products earned high star ratings on our 5-star system, but only one snagged the highly coveted Editors’ Choice award.
This ASUS device uses Google's TV to tie your online life to your TV. providing info about what's on TV and making it easier to find content you want. At $139, the cubed device has a remote control with an accelerometer that lets users move objects on screen by tilting the remote. Its intuitive interface clearly labels everything and lets you move back and forth through menu options with a button or two, and its PrimeTime feature helpfully shows what's on TV. An Android app grants access to the Google Play store for a limited selection of apps, and the Cube also gives access to Netflix, Amazon and Google movies.
