The GPS That “Snitch”es
March 6th, 2008 by Joanna Stern
Ah, the mobile tech tools that help you catch cheaters. Call me pessimistic, but that was the first thing that came to mind when I got a press release from BlackLine GPS about their GPS Snitch device. The device is a “wireless vehicle and tracking solution,” a.k.a. a GPS spy.
The small device is self-contained and can be hidden within a car, truck, motorcycle, and I am thinking even in your man’s pants. Okay, probably not true of that last one. You simply power the Snitch device (battery lasts up to 7 days), hide it, and then you can track the coordinates through www.gps-snitch.com. You can even set the service to notify you via e-mail or text message every time motion is detected.
Snitch is available now for $399. Now that seems like a small price to pay for your dignity.
