The 10 Best Laptops of 2012
Best Multimedia Notebook: MacBook Pro with Retina Display (15-inch) ($2,199)
It would probably be enough for Apple to cram discrete Nvidia graphics, a quad-core processor and a 256GB SSD into a notebook that weighs 4.5 pounds and is 0.7 inches thick. But no, the company also added a breathtaking 15.4-inch 2880 x 1880-pixel Retina display, which puts all other notebooks to shame. This is way better than your HDTV. We also like that Apple finally added USB 3.0 and HDMI ports.

Gago — what are you talking about? The second slide in — “Best Budget Notebook: Toshiba Satellite P845-S4200 ($599)”
The thing is, I went to the Best Buy website, and this model doesn’t exist.

This site lost all credibility by naming the mac book air as a top laptop. Seriously? Every one needs to wake up and get off Apple’s tip. Their laptops are junk. Sure, to some boushy rich guy it might look “pretty”, but serious people in the real business world need a real laptop. Not some hipster toy.

Steve – how were the Apple laptops that received picks “junk”, especially when they have higher specs than many others on the list? How is eight hours of battery life, blazing SSD, hi-res display, etc. “junk”? What’s missing that a “serious” person in the “real business world” needs? That’s without getting into the fact that the Apple awards weren’t in the best business notebook category anyway. I’ve never owned an Apple product, but nothing in the description or reviews indicates either model shown here are a “hipster toy”. There’s nothing a Windows laptop offers that an OS X or Linux laptop can’t do equally well or better in the business world or otherwise.
Apple put out two very impressive pieces of hardware that deserve their wins here. My only issue with the picks is giving the best ultraportable nod to the Asus UX31A rather than the Asus UX32VD which is almost the same except for the inclusion of discrete graphics.

Guys be carefull with LENOVO, after 4 months, 4 vertical lignes on my screen, and you know what, not cover by Warranty, and to fix it they askd 300$.
Your Lenovo Ideapad G570 was received in the Depot Facility on 01/17/2013 . After further diagnosis, we have verified that the damage on your computer is not covered by the normal terms of your warranty. Please see the Billable Quotation below. You have until January 28, 2013 to pay for the billable charge. Otherwise, we will send the unit back unrepaired.

his reason why apple is the best is that they dont get viruses which is complete bullshit they dont get virus’s cause most of them are designed for windows SO THERE APPLe

@Sshh yo what i think you should get is the hp dv6t the starting price is like 649 dollars. it has a back-lit keyboard and i found out it is pretty good for gaming. It has a camera and can read blue ray and also DVDs and cds. It can also burn DVDs and write blue-ray disks (if you chose that option). It has a 15.6 inch screen (or something like that) and has a fingerprint scanner for a password. However if your budget has increased and you chose all of the best options it ends up at around 1800 dollars or something like that. the best part of Hp is that you get to chose the hardware specs and stuff like that. This is the best laptop i can find near your price. I also believe on some websites it was rated better than the macbook air.
