With the releasing of Windows 8, Samsung Series 9 laptops can be one of the best choices.

  2. Gago Kau Amin Says:

There is no toshiba and sony in the list so this is another american asshole list

  3. L Says:

Gago — what are you talking about? The second slide in — “Best Budget Notebook: Toshiba Satellite P845-S4200 ($599)”

The thing is, I went to the Best Buy website, and this model doesn’t exist.

  5. steve Says:

This site lost all credibility by naming the mac book air as a top laptop. Seriously? Every one needs to wake up and get off Apple’s tip. Their laptops are junk. Sure, to some boushy rich guy it might look “pretty”, but serious people in the real business world need a real laptop. Not some hipster toy.

  6. Joseph Says:

Steve – how were the Apple laptops that received picks “junk”, especially when they have higher specs than many others on the list? How is eight hours of battery life, blazing SSD, hi-res display, etc. “junk”? What’s missing that a “serious” person in the “real business world” needs? That’s without getting into the fact that the Apple awards weren’t in the best business notebook category anyway. I’ve never owned an Apple product, but nothing in the description or reviews indicates either model shown here are a “hipster toy”. There’s nothing a Windows laptop offers that an OS X or Linux laptop can’t do equally well or better in the business world or otherwise.

Apple put out two very impressive pieces of hardware that deserve their wins here. My only issue with the picks is giving the best ultraportable nod to the Asus UX31A rather than the Asus UX32VD which is almost the same except for the inclusion of discrete graphics.

  7. darren Says:

joseph ,apple are junk ,macbook air is slow heap of junk that gets owned by the likes of the asus zenbook in thinness and speed and looks ,apple is just for starbuck coffee whores that know nothing about computers

  8. professor Says:

Its a shame even Africa knows this a lame grading of laptops and biased.

  9. Nick Says:

Guys be carefull with LENOVO, after 4 months, 4 vertical lignes on my screen, and you know what, not cover by Warranty, and to fix it they askd 300$.

Your Lenovo Ideapad G570 was received in the Depot Facility on 01/17/2013 . After further diagnosis, we have verified that the damage on your computer is not covered by the normal terms of your warranty. Please see the Billable Quotation below. You have until January 28, 2013 to pay for the billable charge. Otherwise, we will send the unit back unrepaired.

  10. Sshh Says:

I have a Lenovo netbook. I bought it last July 2012, so 6 months to be exact but i don’t have any problem and i’m very satisfied with it. But i need a new one, i mean “i want” a new one so i gave it to my cousin.

  11. Sshh Says:

  12. idontthinkappleisthebest Says:

@ darren Yo i completly agree my friend thinks the air is the best computer ever i told him there are other laptops which run faster and cost like 200-300 dollars less. The idiot (he is still my friend) is completly brainwashed by apple
his reason why apple is the best is that they dont get viruses which is complete bullshit they dont get virus’s cause most of them are designed for windows SO THERE APPLe

  13. Appleisntthatgood Says:

@Sshh yo what i think you should get is the hp dv6t the starting price is like 649 dollars. it has a back-lit keyboard and i found out it is pretty good for gaming. It has a camera and can read blue ray and also DVDs and cds. It can also burn DVDs and write blue-ray disks (if you chose that option). It has a 15.6 inch screen (or something like that) and has a fingerprint scanner for a password. However if your budget has increased and you chose all of the best options it ends up at around 1800 dollars or something like that. the best part of Hp is that you get to chose the hardware specs and stuff like that. This is the best laptop i can find near your price. I also believe on some websites it was rated better than the macbook air.

hi guys…I need an advise please. I intend to buy a new laptop which I can use for two years and be able to do my work just fine. I wouldn’t like to buy one which after a year will be considered totally outdated. Could u suggest me one?

    thank you

  17. Snoozer Says:

I just purchased the top of the line MacBook Pro. It is very fast and the screen resolution is great. However, it will not run an Excel file I use for scheduling call for a group of 45 physicians. I have Parallels installed with Windows Office on the Windows side and Mac Office on the Mac side. The Excel file has macro functions and Visual Basic Programing to do some complex archiving and file logic functions. Neither version (Mac or Windows/Parallels) of Office Excel will run the file on the MacBook Pro. Despite what Apple says about being business compatible, there are just some applications that require a Windows PC system. It’s hard for me to understand why an Apple product would receive such high marks.

  18. Wyatt Says:

Try Microsoft Office for mac. I have no problem running Excel files with it.

  19. eric Says:

want a more looky look the 32gb 43gb processor dual garphics card computer $5100. Send me the innfo
