It has been just 24 hours since Google I/O attendees first received their limited edition Galaxy Tab 10.1 units, and already there’s quite a bit to like. As we mentioned in the unboxing yesterday, the tablet is really light and has nice curved edges that make it comfortable to hold. Software-wise, this is Honeycomb at its best; fast, smooth, and widget-tastic. Using it is definitely enjoyable and the good news is that you’ll be able to use it for a long time without recharging.
While we haven’t put the Tab through our full barrage of tests, last night we ran the LAPTOP Battery Test to see how much longevity users can expect. The result was 9 hours and 23 minutes of continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 40 percent brightness. Very impressive. This tablet will definitely last all day with normal use. More tests and a full review will be coming soon.
