Synaptics Announces New Gestures Coming to a Touchpad Near You
September 29th, 2008 by Jeffrey L. Wilson Do you think that your touchpad had become, I dunno, stale? Synaptics looks to breathe new life into it with with the introduction of two new gesture controls: ChiralRemote and Two-Finger Flick.
ChiralRotate lets users move a finger in a circular motion to rotate images and graphics. Two-Finger Flick allows users to use two fingers to navigate back and forth through images, documents and objects by flicking their digits horizontally; a vertical flick minimizes and maximizes an application.
Synaptics states that its new technology is compatible with hundred of Windows applications, and should be inching its way into notebooks in “early 2009.”
