Snow Leopard Coming In 4 Days
August 24th, 2009 by K. T. Bradford
Apple announced today that the latest version of Mac OS X will be available this Friday, August 28th, slightly ahead of schedule. So if you weren’t lucky enough to have the new OS accidentally shipped with your new Mac Mini, you won’t have long to wait. Touted by Apple as “The world’s most advanced operating system,” Snow Leopard certainly has much to recommend it. Far less expensive than the other big OS release of the year (Windows 7), it also has some other advantages over its biggest competition. There’s built-in Exchange support, top-notch desktop management, and the bold step to only offer a 64-bit version (with 32-bit compatibility). You can check out our side-by-side comparison of Snow Leopard and Windows 7 for more. Hat Tip: Macworld
