Sling Mobile Updates Abound
March 27th, 2008 by Todd Haselton
Sling Media announced today that its mobile software, which brings your TV to your phone, will support the Symbian UIQ operating system starting this summer. The first batch of supported handsets includes a host of Sony Ericsson devices and Motorola’s MOTORIZR Z8. While there aren’t any carriers that sell the SE P1i, P990i, W960i, W950i, or M600i, you can buy these phones unlocked.
Sling Media also noted that updates were coming for Windows Mobile and Symbian S60 phones like the Nokia N95. I poked and prodded a Sling representative for a date on BlackBerry support, but alas, he won that battle, holding mum. Stay tuned for a hands-on with the Symbian UIQ software at CTIA.
