Samsung N510 Available Now… in Europe

samsung n510Just after announcing that it would hold off releasing the N510 with Ion until Windows 7 comes out, Samsung apparently has shipped its new netbook, but in Europe. Netbook News in Germany [English trans.] posted unboxing images from one of their users who helpfully photographed it next to a Samsung NC10. And Netbook News in Italy [English trans.] reports that the system is available there, too. As Liliputing’s Brad Linder pointed out, “when a PC maker makes an announcement in one country, it doesn’t necessarily hold true across the globe.” We’re used to seeing notebooks and netbooks ship overseas while we wait patiently for them here in the U.S. It’s interesting that this particular netbook should be among them, as the reasons for holding off were sound. In the meantime, check out Netbook News Germany’s unboxing photos. The N510 looks very similar to it’s older sibling, the NC10, with a few extra stylish touches. No word yet on performance, but we’re eager to to see the difference Ion makes.
