Samsung Instinct Hands-On

Instinct in handIs the iPhone in for some stiff competition from Samsung’s new touchscreen phone? As we mentioned in our earlier post, the Instinct has a ton of potential. Fascinating features such as the speedy EV-DO Rev. A connection and the voice recognition software piqued our interest. Now, we’ve had a chance to play with the Instinct in person at CTIA. 1. Knowledge Says:

Yes, cuz the creators have had some time to study the Iphone’s pros & cons and the phone will benefit from this opportunity by filling in where the Iphone left off and addin a lil more hear and there. Atleast, that’s what I’d do.

U should study your opponent and wait opportunistically 4 the perfect time to attack or counter and come out as the victor. THIS IS A GAME OF CHESS NOT CHECKERS……….

You know that Apple is quaking in their boots if they just officially unvieled the new 3G i-phone today!

  3. Anonymous Says:

I gave this phone to my wife for Christmas, early, and we have been using it for 2 weeks now. I bought it for her for the unlimited voice and text, and for me for the unlimited 3G data.
The phone is great. It has a lot of nice features.
We are out of town a lot and the “Live Search” comes in really handy if you’re looking for a last minute hotel or food.
The most important to us is being able to list for flights without having to lug a laptop around to get on the internet.
The biggest con is several websites I go to, such as priceline or hotwire, won’t let me log on or have dead continue/next buttons forcing me to use the “Live Search” work around to call different hotels directly. This is the very reason I bought this phone, other than for the phone service.
Another con is that when listening to an automated menu when you call a business and it asks for an alpha numeric input such as a confirmation number you can only access the numerical key pad during the call. If there is a way to access the alpha keyboard during such a call I would like to know.
Last con is minor, you can’t receive or make calls while charging the phone from a USB port. Change the battery instead.
Am I going to keep the phone? Probably, if I don’t find a better one with the same service at the same price. If I keep it, it will be with the hope that the dead buttons will eventually be fixed.
    Good luck
