In addition to the $49 Focus Flash, Samsung also announced the premium Focus S, a $199 Windows Phone 7.5 device with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus (800 x 480) display, 1.4-GHz processor, and 4G speeds on AT&T’s network.
If you think it looks like a Samsung Galaxy S II, you wouldn’t be wrong. The Focus S has a nearly identical design, down to its 0.3-inch thickness and the chin on the bottom that holds the microphone. Also on the back is an 8-megapixel camera, and a dedicated camera button on the side–something every smart phone should have. The front features a 1.3-MP camera. Despite its large 4.96 x 2.63-inch footprint, the Focus S weighs just 3.9 ounces. Samsung says you should expect up to 6.5 hours of talk time, and 250 hours of standby time.
The Focus S will cost $199 with a two-year contract, and go on-sale on November 6. Check out a hands-on video and more images of the smartphone below.
