Report: Apple Launching iPhone 5 in Fall with New Design

Here’s some iPhone news to usher us into the new year. According to a “close source” who spoke to BGR, Apple will launch its next iPhone next fall, as expected. The source also revealed some details that suggest a completely revamped design.
Apple will apparently use a rubber or plastic material that will be built into the new iPhone’s case. The material will likely “be used as a bezel surrounding the front edge of the iPhone.” It will also connect the phone’s glass display to the aluminum back plate.
The material will also serve to cover the device’s antenna system, which Apple is said to have redesigned in order to eliminate the large plastic insert above the antennae (as found on the iPad 2 3G).
All this info will be more exciting when we have the pics to prove it; here’s hoping for some leaked photos in the new year.
