Readers’ Choice: Best of CES 2011 Winner Announced

You’ve spoken, and your favorite technology from CES 2011 is Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chip (also the winner for best enabling technology, as named by the editors of LAPTOP Magazine.

Nvidia took home 35.25 percent of the vote. Its nearest competitors were the Samsung 9 Series with 22.22 percent of the vote and the Motorola Atrix 4G with 17.62 percent of the vote. The only other product to really give chase was the Motorola Xoom, which took home 14.56 percent.

Tegra 2 has kicked the smart phone category into high gear. The Tegra 2-packing LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix 4G, and the Motorola Droid Bionic all have the power to output 1080p video and 7.1 audio via HDMI, and allow users to watch and interact with Flash web content without compromise. Plus users can experience PC-level gaming on smart phones, just as with their tablet brethren.
