Online Storage Smackdown
April 27th, 2010 by Dana Wollman
Hard drives fail. It’s a fact. Even the good ones. So, even backing up your precious family photos, music, videos, and even work files to an external hard drive doesn’t necessarily protect you from data loss. And, carrying that invaluable drive with you everywhere isn’t necessarily practical. But backing up your data to the web can add some peace of mind, and is easier than ever. But with so many options available, choosing just one service could seem like a daunting task, if we hadn’t done the work for you. I use crashplan, i feel it’s one of the best out there after looking at a similar “online storage smackdown” last fall elsewhere on the net. It can be used on all OS platorms, even solaris. No problems since installing it last Nov.
