One Man’s Unbelievable Desire For A BlackBerry Storm Results in Tattoo
November 11th, 2008 by Joanna Stern
If one man thought the Microsoft Zune was worth permanent branding on his body, I guess it shouldn’t shock me that another man wanted a BlackBerry Storm tattoo on his hairy leg. When Crackberry.com Editor Kevin Michaluk e-mailed me a few weeks back about his “What would you do for a BlackBerry Storm?” contest, I expected to see some pretty interesting entries. And after receiving 3,000, Kevin decided that T.J. from Toledo, Ohio was the most deserving of a brand spankin’ new, all-touch BlackBerry Storm. T.J. went the distance and had a BlackBerry Storm tattooed on his leg complete with a CrackBerry logo (props to CB for some seriously permanent marketing – any LAPTOP Magazine fans out there?). And disturbing the truest Apple fans, he even went ahead and imprinted an “iPhone Sucks” underneath it. Ah, the pain! No seriously, the pain. Head on over to CrackBerry.com and watch the tattooing process on video. My weak stomach couldn’t watch any more than the first 30 seconds. All I know is the BlackBerry Storm looks sweet in the commercials and in person, but until those first reviews of the final units hit we don’t know for sure. T.J., here is to hoping it is a phone worth remembering…forever.
