Nokia Booklet 3G Will Cost $299 Through Best Buy
October 13th, 2009 by Mark Spoonauer, LAPTOP Editor in Chief
Now this is a pleasant surprise. The Nokia Booklet 3G will cost $299 when it goes on sale exclusively through Best Buy. For that price you get 12 hours of battery life, 3G mobile broadband, and a sleek fanless design. If you want the device without a two-year contract the netbook will go for $599.
Granted, with $60 per month for data you’re talking about a total cost of $1,740, but we suspect that a lot of Best Buy customers will be tempted by the sticker price. Plus, AT&T’s Glenn Lurie promised during today’s press conference that other data plan options will become available “down the road.”
The system will be available for preorder on October 22nd and start shipping in mid-November. For a closer look, check out our video hands-on with the Nokia Booklet 3G.
