T-Mobile subscribers anxious to get their hands on Google’s Nexus 5 may not have to wait much longer. According to a new leak, the search engine giant’s flagship smartphone could roll out to the network on Nov. 20.
T-Mobile news blog TMONews has allegedly obtained the carrier’s retail planning guide for November. The document also suggests that T-Mobile will launch the Nexus 7 on the same day, although there’s no telling whether or not the document is valid. No details on pricing have been leaked, but the retail planning guide does hint that LG and Sony devices will be available for $0 down on that same day.
T-Mobile confirmed that it will soon offer the Nexus 5 following Google’s unveiling on Oct. 31, although the carrier didn’t specify a time frame. T-Mobile has simply said that the handset will be up for sale within the “coming weeks.” Users will have the option of purchasing the Nexus 5 through T-Mobile’s SimpleChoice Plan and can upgrade through its Jump! program when eligible.
The Nexus 5 features noticeable upgrades and enhancements from its predecessor, including a larger 4.95-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel display, a roaring 2.26-GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 4G LTE compatibility and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Google is currently selling the 16GB Nexus 5 for $349.99 and the 32GB version for $399 off-contract.
