New Acer Aspire One D250 and 531 Appear in Germany. Headed Here Next?
April 1st, 2009 by Joanna Stern
Two new Acer Aspire One netbooks – the D250 and 531 – have made appearances on the company’s Germany Site. The D250 seems to sport the same chassis as the 10-inch Aspire One D150. The 10.1-inch netbook has a 1.6GHz Atom N270 (which seems also have a 1.68GHz N280 upgrade option), 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, 0.3 megapixel webcam, Ethernet, WiFi and optional WWAN. The 531 sports the same specs but seems to have a thinner build at less than an inch thick. Engadget reports that the pricing is €379 ($502) for the D250 and €399 ($529) for the 531. Will the D250 and 531 hit the U.S. market? Only time will tell, but we will be in attendence at an Acer press event next week. Stay tuned.
