So we were wondering: how many seconds of your life will you wait for the Atom-based MSI Wind to boot as opposed to a VIA-based system like the HP Mini-Note with XP?

Amazing how hp put a slower HD in its Mini Note, yet upstart MSI didn’t go cheap and offered a faster HD. And then American companies wonder why they lose market share to Asian companies.

it’s great that the msi wind boots in around 45secs! but note that in the video it also shows the speaker capacity of HP with the opening sound of xp.

Of course the MSI wind is faster, it has the latest Intel ATOM processor while HP mininote is using a VIA processor.

Can you really compare the boot times of these 2 machines when one runs XP and the other Vista?
