MSI Wind at Best Buy for $350
November 5th, 2008 by K. T. Bradford
The MSI Wind, one of our favorite netbooks, is now on sale for an amazing $349.99 at Best Buy. That’s the same price as the Eee PC 4G Surf was a year ago. But with the Wind you get a 10-inch screen, a full size keyboard, and a 120GB hard drive.
The one drawback is that the Best Buy unit only has 3-cell battery, which, as we pointed out, will only give you about two hours of life. Pair it with the 9-cell battery we talked about yesterday and the total is still less than $550.

What is a better netbook, the MSI Wind U100-432US or the Samsung NC10? Your ratings show that the samsung gets 4 stars whereas the MSI gets 4.5. If you recommend the MSI over the Samsung, why?

is anyone else out there noticing that the screen resolutions are 1024×600 and full web pages (ie google maps) and other applications (my company’s online applications) may not be available? It seems to me that these netbooks are a definite mistake unless there is an easy fix that I am not yetr aware of? I’m no expert so if someone out there has the fix or solution without switching out graphics chips please post here… Walmart is also selling a version for $375 but the one I am currently stuck with is the Averatec Buddy.
