At CeBIT 2010, taking place this week in Hannover, Germany, MSI is showcasing three  gaming laptops, all of which, predictably, pack either Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 platform.

The GX640 and GX740 are both Core i5 notebooks with AMD ATI Radeon HD 5870 and 5850 discrete graphics cards, respectively. Both have a full gigabyte of GDDR5 video memory, a 2-megapixel webcam, and SRS premium audio. Both will have hard drives ranging from 320GB to 640GB. Both will be offered with six- and nine-cell battery options.

The main difference: the GX640 has a 15.4-inch display and the GX740, a 17-inch one. The 15-inch GX640 has two USB 2.0 ports; the GX740, three. Also, the GX740 is unique in that it packs a subwoofer.

The GT660 (pictured), which was previewed last week, has a Core i7 CPU with discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 285M graphics and 1GB of GDDR3 video memory. Bonus: it has USB 3.0 ports, which claim speeds ten times as fast as what USB 2.0 ports offer.

MSI has not yet announced pricing or availability for these three laptops.
