MSI Gets Official About Wind U123 and X320, X340

April 1st, 2009 by Joanna Stern

msiwindu123leadWe were the first to tell you about MSI’s plans to release a slew of new netbooks and notebooks this spring and the company is coming clean about it all today with official specs.

As expected the 10.2-inch MSI Wind U123 will sport Intel’s newer 1.66GHz N280 processor along with 3G and TV tuner capabilities. It will sport the same chassis as the Wind U120 and all the other typical netbook specs including Windows XP Home, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It will come standard with a six cell battery, but MSI will offer a nine cell. MSI hasn’t released a price on the U123, but full specs are below.

More exciting to us is the announcement of the X320 and X340 notebooks. The X Series line which we got a peek at during CES is a super slim (like Macbook Air slim), yet affordable notebook line. As MSI told us a few months back the X320 will use theĀ  Intel Atom Z530 processor while the X340 will use Intel’s new CULV SU3500 processor. Both notebooks will run Vista Home Premium. See the full specs below.

Stay tuned for full reviews of these notebooks in the next month or so.
