For most of us, Motorola is a household name for a few reasons: it makes a lot of the chips in our electronics, if we don’t own a Scientific Atlanta TV set-top box, we likely own a Motorola one, and in our cell phones. Last night, the electronic company announced that it was considering separating its “Mobile Devices” division from the other business sectors in order to “accelerate” the mobile sector’s recovery, and “attract new talent.” Of course, the key word here is considering as the announcement was not definite.
