Mio Debuts 7-inch Moov V780 MID; Features 720p HD playback, WiMAX
March 2nd, 2010 by Jeffrey L. Wilson
Mio may not be a household name, but its Moov V780 mobile internet device (which was unveiled at the CeBIT tech show in Germany) sports a number of features that the tech set may find attractive.
The 7-inch (800 x 480-pixel resolution) Moov V780 rocks a 600-MHz CPU, 720p video playback, HDMI out, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, a “3D multimedia interface”, and 3.5G wireless, headphone and mic jacks, and a long list of compatible audio (MP3, WMV, WMA and ACC), video (H.264, H.263, DivX, WM9, VC1, MOV and MPEG4), and photo files (JPEG, PNG and GIF). It also comes bundled with a QWERTY keyboard.
On the downside, the system runs the aged Windows CE 6.0 operating system, houses just 512MB of RAM, and includes the ancient Internet Explorer 6 browser.
Price and availability are still up in the air, but maybe, just maybe, we’ll get additional information during the show.
