Microsoft Launches Amazon Reader for Windows 7, CBS Internet TV
Today at Microsoft’s Windows 7 ($76.54) launch party the company showed off too intriguing new apps. The first is CBS Internet TV, a new option within Media Center. You’ll be able to watch your favorite shows like CSI without having to spring for a TV tuner. This could be serious competition for Hulu (though they could be behind the scenes).
Microsoft also showed off a new app from Amazon that will let users read ebooks on the go on Windows 7 PCs. It’s touch optimized, so we imagine that a lot of touch netbooks and notebooks will soon be transformed into eReaders. So long, Kindle and Nook.
