Look Ma, No Hands: Jabra Unveils New Bluetooth Accessories

April 1st, 2009 by Jeffrey L. Wilson

haloToday, Jabra revealed two new Bluetooth accessories at CTIA Wireless 2009 that are designed to get you to cut the cord : The Jabra HALO and Jabra SP200. The 3-ounce Jabra HALO (pictured right) is a stereo Bluetooth headset for gabbers and music lovers who want to enjoy calls and tunes without wires getting in the way. It features the touch-sensitive volume/track controls,  Zirene Power Bass for what will hopefully result in solid low-end thump, and the rather awesome ability to automatically enter pairing mode when the foldable headset is unfolded. The Jabra HALO even comes with a 3.5mm cord to allow you to connect devices that don’t support A2DP technology. It will be available in May with a MSRP of $129. If hands-free chatting is more to your liking, Jabra has you covered on that front as well. The Jabra SP200 is a Bluetooth speakerphone that features a single large control button, a volume wheel, a dedicated on/off switch, and prehaps most importantly, DSP technology to reduce background din. It provides 10 hours of talk time and 23 hours of standby. You can expect it in April with a price tag of $59.99
