LG Revolution Reviewed: Netflix + 4G = Verizon’s Best Phone?
June 5th, 2011 by Mark Spoonauer, LAPTOP Editor in Chief Yes, you can try to root your Android phone to get Netflix on it, but if you want unlimited access to all the movies and TV shows you can eta without the work, there’s the LG Revolution. Verizon’s third 4G handset is also the first Android phone in the U.S. with the Netflix app preloaded. Thanks to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, you get smoojth streaming without Wi-Fi along with blazing fast web surfing. Add in an HDMI port, 720p video recording, and a big and bright 4.3-inch screen and you have a winner, right?
Well, it’s not that simple. This smartphone has been Bing-ified, which means the search button will only work with Microsoft’s search engine. We also have a couple of other complaints. Then again, the HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge aren’t perfect either. So is the Revolution Verizon’s best 4G superphone yet? Read our full LG Revolution review here.
