The dual-core Android phone formerly known as the Optimus 2X is coming to T-Mobile as the LG G2x, and it’s bringing lots of tasty specs along for the ride. In addition to Nvidia’s Tegra processor, this device packs a 4-inch display (800 x 480 pixels) and an 8-MP camera capable of shooting and playing 1080p video. With the G2X’s HDMI connection, you can mirror anything on the phone right on your TV (yes, including Angry Birds).
The G2X isn’t the fastest 4G phone in T-Mobile’s stable. The LG is theoretically capable of 14.4 Mbps 4G speeds, while the Samsung Galaxy S 4G can handle 21 Mbps. On the plus side, the G2X will come preloaded with Need for Speed Shift HD, as well as Tegra Zone for easy access to other immersive 3D games. Overall, the G2X looks like a powerful device. Stay tuned for hands-on impressions.
