Leaked RIM Roadmap Shows BlackBerry 7 Coming in November

Could RIM smart phones sporting BlackBerry OS 6.1 get a jump straight to BlackBerry 7 this year? According to a leaked software roadmap, that might be the case.

N4BB.com uncovered a calendar with estimated arrival windows for updates to BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry Internet Services, the App World, and RIM apps like Social Feeds, Facebook, and Twitter.

The document shows that BlackBerry 7 will be released for “core integration” in November, but does not hint at whether the next stage of BlackBerry OS will be infused with the QNX-based operating system slated to appear on the PlayBook.

Details that are present include an update to BIS 4.0 between March and May and another push to BIS 4.1 in the late summer or early fall, as well as progressions for a beta version of Facebook 2.0,  and complete releases of Social Feeds 2.0, and Twitter 1.1, each scattered throughout the next few months.

Another tidbit of juicy news is that the BlackBerry App World will hit the PlayBook later this month, giving credence to last week’s rumors that the PlayBook with land on store shelves early next month.
