Latest Android SDK Released, We Have Pictures

This morning Google announced the newest version of its Android SDK, dubbed m5-rc14. The new edition, if you can follow developer speak, adds a few new features including: a revamped user interface, added support for geo-coding, the ability to create layout animations for applications, and support for additional media codecs like iMelody, MIDI, OGG Vorbis, OTA, RTTL/RTX, and XMF.
Finally, there’s also an updated eclipse plug-in with a new Android manifest editor. A list of the differences between the previous SDK and the new one can be found on the m5 changes website.

So what’s this really mean for the end-user? Android is back on track after a short delay, even though Google had originally planned to delay Android for a few weeks.
