Kensington Makes Laser Pointer Easier To See
May 11th, 2010 by Anna Attkisson, LAPTOP Managing Editor
The human eye is naturally more sensitive to green than red light, according to Kensington. That’s why their new Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer does just what it sounds like; projects a green laser for use during your next presentation. The company claims green laser is as much as 10 times more visible than red, which should help it stand out indoors or out, in bright light or dark. In fact, in a dark environment you can see the full green beam not just the dot on the wall. Rated to work at up to 150 feet from the projector while running on the 2.4GHz frequency, the design is sleek and easy to hold with four control buttons on top, two AAA batteries inside, and a USB receiver that stores inside. A carry case is included. Note: do not stare directly into the beam. The laser power could hurt your eyes. Available for $79.99 at Amazon.com, Kensington.com, Dell, PC Mall and at select distributors.
