Rumor has it that the low-cost iPhone 5C will come in multiple color options, but it looks like the flagship iPhone 5S is getting multiple shades as well. A newly leaked photo depicts Apple’s alleged iPhone 5 successor in a graphite two-tone pallet that combines grey and black. Meanwhile, a separate video has surfaced showing how well the gold version stands up to scratches.

If the above is accurate, this means that Apple may offer at least four color options for the iPhone 5S, including the standard black and white editions as well as the champagne gold and graphite versions. The new leak comes courtesy of Sonny Dickson, who was also the source behind the purported golden iPhone 5S images that surfaced earlier this month.

The alleged iPhone 5S Graphite photo shows what looks like the back plate of a Black & Slate iPhone 5, but with a lighter grayish color. The handset appears to sport the same black glossy trim as the current iPhone 5, although there’s no telling whether or not this leak is accurate.

In separate footage from Jailbreak Nation, a gold prototype shell of the iPhone 5S undergoes scuffs and scratches after being scraped with a pocket knife. The most evident nicks and scratches are seen in the lower left corner of the iPhone 5S aluminum coating, as the anodized top layer is clearly scathed.

During the same test, the gold iPhone 5S held up just fine when being scratched by a quarter, suggesting that Apple is using the same method of anodization to color the iPhone 5S’ aluminum chassis as it previously did with the iPhone 5. Hopefully ,we won’t see a repeat of last year’s iPhone 5 launch when  numerous consumers reported that their handsets were scraped and scratched right out of the box.

We’re expecting to hear more about Apple’s upcoming iPhones on Sept. 10, when the company is  expected to hold a press event to introduce its iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
