Looks like we might have the answer to the question on everyone’s minds: when will Apple launch the next iPhone? German wireless carrier Deutsche Telekom is reportedly telling its customers to hang on until September 19 for the iPhone 6.
According to apefelpage.de, Deutsche Telekom has instructed its call center operators to inform customers that the next iPhone will be available on Friday, Sep. 19 in an effort to entice clients to stay with the carrier.
Whether this is just an educated guess or information that came from Apple is not clear, but the date falls in line with the iPhone maker’s previous launches. The latest rumors indicate that the Cupertino-based company is planning to release two models of the next iPhone — a 4.7-inch version and a larger 5.5-inch device. The larger handset is expected to be released later than the 4.7-inch one.
The next iPhone is expected to offer a slew of improvements, including NFC technology, a more powerful A8 processor, a super strong sapphire glass screen and and enhanced 10-MP camera.
The iPhone 6 will run iOS 8, the latest mobile OS that’s expected to be unveiled June 2nd at Apple’s WWDC event. iOS 8 will bring not only a focus on fitness and health but also possibly smart home functionality.
