Ever since the iPhone 5 announcement, true Apple fans have been looking forward to what’s next. More specifically, they wonder what new technologies and features will be on the next iteration of the iPhone, which they think will be called the iPhone 5S. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, there’s certainly an abundance of gossip.

To help you separate likely features from baseless fanboy fantasies, we’ve put together the top 6 iPhone 5S rumors, which all come from experts who have been right about Apple before. 

NFC and fingerprint sensor support

China Times reports that Taiwanese chip firm Chipbond has been asked to provide components for Apple's upcoming smartphone, including chips that will support NFC and fingerprint sensor. If it's true, it's about time, since all Android devices and every new BlackBerry and Windows Phone now have NFC.However, if Apple really embraces NFC, we'd have to wonder how it will affect Passbook, the companies current solution for mobile payments.

Mobile security firm AuthenTec was acquired by Apple last year, and rumors say that the firm is cutting off its fingerprint sensor customers this year, making Apple its only customer. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who's a respected voice in Apple speculation, said he also thinks a fingerprint sensor will be present in the iPhone 5S.

    I wish for the pinch to zoom feature for webpages on all ios7 release. Also keypad zooming on keys.

    PRETTY SOON A SMART PHONE WILL BECOME A TOOL THAT CONTROL HUMAN LIFE. OUR LIFE WILL BE CENTERED AROUND A SMART PHONE.     Steve Jobs’ vision was always to empower the individual through the technology. Just hope Steve’s successors “get” the concept and don’t enslave the user, they way IBM, Oracle, and other networking companies have traditionally done.
