iPad 3 Launch Slated for Early February, Say Sources in Supply Chain

Did you think Apple’s upcoming digital publishing event would steal the spotlight from the upcoming iPad? Fat chance. In fact, Japanese publication Macotakara reports that the iPad 3 launch is only a few weeks away, in early February.
As is usually the case with such reports, Macotakara cite sources in Apple’s supply chain. Backing up this iPad launch time frame is an earlier report from Bloomberg, which said the iPad 3 is already in production and should hit the market by the beginning of March. Bloomberg also said the tablet will ship with a higher-def screen and a faster processor.
